# Expansion

At the beginning of every epoch, if the time weighted average price (TWAP) of $PRATE is greater than 1.01, new $PRATE will be minted in the boardroom.

The amount of new $PRATE distributed depends on the current circulating supply of $PRATE.

The first 6 epochs will have 2.5% emissions to account for continued $PRATE rewards during this time.

From 0 to 1 Billion $PRATE minted per epoch the expansion is 3.5%.

From 1.1 Billion $PRATE minted the expansion is 3.25% and begins decreasing to a Max of 4% expansion.
